Savoiazen San Martino - Editorial

Savoiazen San Martino

This editorial stems from a project carried out in Politecnico di Milano. A book that contains the research made for the Metaproject Studio where "Savoiazen San Martino" was born.

The brief was to create a co-living located in the heart of Trentino Alto-Adige, a region in the northern Italy. The result is a melting point between the local tradition and the Japanese culture in order to create an unusual and innovative environment to experience the Alps in a unique and original way.

The Japanese influence is visible in the design of this book. The cover with the detail of the Japanese binding is raw and it lets you see an anticipation of the project. Inside the book, three chapters are visually divided by the three colours of the interior palette. The roughness of the paper together with the transparency of the tissue paper reminds of the typical rice paper.
